One day the three of us were hanging out & the topic of Tradesy came up (this was before it became part of VC), & he told me that he would buy superfakes of currently trendy LV bags from Chinese sellers for a few hundred dollars . Tradesy is more like an eBay site and I don't think they do an in-house authentication service. If you want to buy a designer bag, I'd get it authenticated by a third party after receiving it. That said if the item is actually misrepresented (not just a return because you didn't like it), they do give you your money back instead of credit. The reason Tradesy works for me is because they stand by their guarantee of authenticity. If you purchase a fake item or one that is not as described, you return it to them and they will refund you. Conversely, if you sell an item and the buyer backs out, Tradesy eats the cost of the return if you have described your item accurately.
It’s also still hard to purchase items on Tradesy with confidence knowing most sellers are random people who may be trying to pawn off a fake bag as real. When spending your hard earned money, it’s important to know the item you’re getting is the real deal. I recently sold a bag on Tradesy. The bag is brand new, never been used and was purchased at Saks Fifth a couple weeks ago. The bag is absolutely in new condition with no marks or stains.
